The Health Innovation Network AHSN South London in partnership with the Physiotherapy Pain Association and St George’s University Hospitals invite you to our Psychologically informed Practice for Health Professionals Shared Learning webinar.
Introducing Therapeutic Interactions and Person-centred Care Skills (TIPS) is an innovative and evidence-based training and supervision package for physiotherapists and other health professionals working with patients presenting with pain. Co-created with people living with pain, TIPS introduces participants to the biopsychosocial factors that contribute to pain, and provides tools and techniques to increase confidence in starting conversations relating to psychological health. A key component of TIPS is the supervision element of the programme, to allow time to embed learning and discuss complex cases.
The event will showcase the importance of using a psychologically informed approach in managing consultations, and how developing strong listening skills leads to better conversations and patient experience. We will introduce TIPS, sharing how we put research into practice and co-created TIPS with service users, plus you will hear reflections from TIPS participants on how the training changed their practice followed by a panel session with our guest speakers.
