Joint Pain Advice (JPA) training is provided by the Health Innovation Network to enable healthcare and non-healthcare professionals to provide the Joint Pain Advice service as an adjunct to their current roles.
The training is also open to individuals who would like to improve their knowledge, skills and awareness about joint and back pain and the core recommendations from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance in order to support people experiencing chronic knee, hip or back pain to understand and self-manage their condition.

Training information:
Duration: ½ day (4 hours)
Course requirements: There are no essential pre-course requirements for this course.
Desirable pre-course requirements include:
Experience of supporting people with long-term health conditions (including Musculoskeletal conditions)
Experience of delivering health and/or lifestyle coaching
A willingness and desire to support people living and working in the community to self-manage their chronic joint and/or back pain.

The Joint Pain Advice model: theoretical foundations, evidence base, principles and structure
Factors influencing joint pain and tips on how to cope with it
Theoretical foundations and practical skill to support changing health behaviours

Cost: £75 per person for virtual training
