ESCAPE-pain for backs is a 6 week (12 session) rehabilitation programme for people with non-specific low back pain, that integrates educational self-management and coping strategies with an exercise regimen individualised for each participant. It helps people understand their condition, teaches them simple things they can help themselves with, and takes them through a progressive exercise programme so they learn how to cope with pain better. In order to become ESCAPE-pain for backs facilitators, clinicians are required to attend training. We are currently piloting ESCAPE-pain for backs in the leisure/community setting and will provide more information on training opportunities for exercise professionals in due course. Pre-qualification requirements The half day ESCAPE-pain training (for backs) is open to clinicians that have attended the full day ESCAPE-pain training (for knees/hips). All half day ESCAPE-pain training (for backs) courses will be held in London and scheduled the day after ESCAPE-pain training (for knees/hips). If you are a clinician and would like to be trained to deliver both programmes, please feel free to sign up to the consecutive training dates. If you have not attended ESCAPE-pain training (for knees/hips) and would like to attend ESCAPE-pain for backs training only, please visit our facilitator training webpage for the schedule of full day ESCAPE-pain training (for backs) courses: https://escape-pain.org/facilitator-training-backs The course will cover the below areas
